I create dynamic, freeform abstract paintings and jewelry with fluid acrylic paints. Palette knives, other tools, and air blown onto the paint help me nudge the painting in the direction I want it to go, but I don’t have full control. The result is a creation that cannot be reproduced. I use these same techniques to create hand painted jewelry. Within a painting I look for small areas with interesting colors and compositions to cut into shapes. These miniature works of original art are topped with a glass cabochon, then mounted into a jewelry setting. Each piece is unique.
